Mayın ve Eyp’ler, genelleme yapılamaz, tek bir yöntem ile imal edilemedikleri gibi imha ve tahrip işlemi de yapılamaz. Yapılmış olan düzeneğin çeşidine göre müdahale etmek gerekir. Yapılacak olan müdahale işlemi, bulunduğu araziye göre farklılık gösterir.
Mesela: Şehir için de kalabalık bir yerde ki şüpheli bir pakete yapılan müdahele, timlerin intikal halinde karşılaştıkları şüpheli paket, eyp ve mayınlar ile makarşılaştırılamaz. Arazide ilk adım patlayıcıyı bulmayı gerektirir.
Patlayıcı Bomba Arama Usulleri;
1.Patlayıcı kokusuna duyarlı köpekler yardımı ile bomba arama
2. Türlü yeteneklere sahip olan detektörler ile bomba arama
3.Arazi üzerinde göz taraması ile bomba arama.
Tim, arazi çalışmalarında iken sinyal kesici, karıştırıcı (Jammer) cihazların aktif ve çalışır durumda olması çok çok önemlidir. Patlayıcının bulunduğu yer bir sprey yardımı ile işaretlenir. Personel güvenli bir noktaya çekildikten sonra ikinci adım olarak TSK bünyesinde bulunan bomba imha robotları ile düzeneğe yaklaşarak inceleme çalışmalarında bulunulur.
Araştırmadan sonra robotlar tarafında bulunan su jeti ve fünye yardımı ile patlayıcı bozulur yada imha edilir. Mümkün olduğunca personel müdahalesinden de kaçınılır.
Uzman personel bomba imha kıyafeti ve gerekli tedbirler altında ikinci bir patlayıcı tehlikesinin olmadığından emin olduktan sonra etkisiz hale getirilen EYP’nin yanına gider ve el ile lüzumlu olan müdehaleyi yapar.
Bu müdahale de düzenek bozuldu ise arazı güvenliği alındıktan sonra imha edilir. İmha edildi ise patlayıcıya dair gerekli kanıtların toplanması durumu oluşur.
