Kaç Farklı Göz Rengi Vardır? Göz Renkleri Nelerdir?

Gözün 3 ana dokusu bulunmaktadır. Bu dokular dıştan içe doğru aşağıdaki gibidir:

• Sklera

• Koroid

• Retina

Sklera bir bağ dokusudur. Stroması beyazdır, lakin gözün ön kısmında şeffaftır ve bundan dolayı ışığın gözün içine girmesini sağlar. Bu şeffaf skleraya kornea ismi verilir.  

     Patolojide kornea şeffaflığını kaybedip göz rengini değiştirebilir ve skleranın rengi gibi beyazlaşma olur. Koroid bol pigment içeren bir damar tabaka dokusudur. Retina ise pigmentli bir epiteldir. İris iki dokudan oluşur. Bunlar koroid ve retinadır. Koroid ön tarafa doğru bakar ve retina arkaya doğru. Bundan dolayı göze rengini veren koroid dokusudur. Koroid ne kadar pigment içerirse gözün rengi o kadar siyaha döner ve ne kadar az pigment içerirse o kadar da açık renge döner (mavi). Bu akşınlığın neden göze kırmızı renk verdiğini açıklar. Akşınlık hastalığında melanosit hücrelerin ürettikleri melanin pigmentleri dışa dökmüyorlar.

 Böylelikle keratinosit hücreleri melanini alamıyorlar. Bu sitolojik bozukluk pigmentlerin epitelde yayılamamalarına ve dokunun çok açık renge sahip olmasına neden olur. Ama koroid bir damar tabakası olduğu için pigmentlerin renginin yerini kan rengi alır ve koroid, yani göz kırmızı renkte görünür. Hatta bazı fotoğraflarda sağlıklı gözlerin kırmızı olmalarının nedeni kan renginin yansımasıdır.

• Heterokromiya iridis: İnsan ya da çift gözlü canlılarda, iki gözün irislerinin birbirinden farklı renkte olması durumudur.

Bunların dışında istisna olarak karma renklerde göze sahip olanlar olabilir, mesela gri-yeşil, turkuaz, gri-yeşil-mavi, … gibi.

Avrupa’da göz renkleri dağılımı

Dünya çapında tüm insanların yaklaşık %90’ında kahverengi tonlarında gözleri vardır, çoğunluğu koyu kahverengidir. Kalan %10’u mavi, yeşil, gri ve yeşil-mavi göz renklerini taşımaktadır.

The anatomical structure that gives color to the eye is called the iris.

What is the Role of Iris Structure in Eye Color?

The eye has 3 main tissues. These textures are as follows, from the outside to the inside:

Sclera

choroid

Retina

The sclera is a connective tissue. The stroma is white, but transparent at the front of the eye, thus allowing light to enter the eye. This transparent sclera is called the cornea.

     In pathology, the cornea loses its transparency and changes the eye color, and there is a whitening like the color of the sclera. The choroid is a vascular layer tissue containing abundant pigment. The retina is a pigmented epithelium. The iris consists of two tissues. These are the choroid and retina. The choroid faces anteriorly and the retina posteriorly. Therefore, it is the choroid tissue that gives the eye its color. The more pigment the choroid contains, the more black the eye will turn, and the less pigment it contains, the lighter it will turn (blue). This explains why it turns red in the eye. Melanin pigments produced by melanocyte cells do not shed.

 Thus, keratinocyte cells cannot take up melanin. This cytological disorder causes the pigments to be unable to diffuse in the epithelium and the tissue to have a very light color. But since the choroid is a layer of vessels, the color of the pigments is replaced by the color of blood, and the choroid, the eye, appears red. In fact, the reason why healthy eyes are red in some photos is the reflection of the color of blood.

Heterochromia iridis: It is the condition in which the irises of the two eyes are different from each other in human or double-eyed creatures.

Apart from these, there may be people who have eyes of mixed colors, such as gray-green, turquoise, gray-green-blue, … as an exception.

Distribution of eye colors in Europe

Around 90% of all people worldwide have brown-tinted eyes, the majority being dark brown. The remaining 10% have blue, green, gray and green-blue eye colors.
